SILVIA + YOUENN

When we were asked to create Creative Director and Art Buyer Silvia Nicoletti’s wedding outfit, we knew her celebration was going to be a creative masterpiece. She married her husband Youenn at her beautiful family home in the South of France wearing her STYLE 039 silk satin slip and later her STYLE 047 organza overtop which she styled with the iconic Jimmy Choo pearl embellished Sacora sandals and statement baroque pearl drop earrings.

The wedding aesthetic was chic, romantic and effortless with every last detail considered. An outdoor arbour was draped in soft folds of fabric alongside an undone yet sculptural floral arrangement which provided the most elegant of backdrops for the couple's intimate ceremony. The day was captured perfectly by talents Samuel J Butt and TwoWolves Photography.

We asked Silvia to tell us a little more about her stunning celebration:

“We hosted our wedding at my family home in the South of France, near a little village called Grimaud which is up in the hills and facing the sea. A place that is incredibly close to our hearts. We wanted to keep the ceremony and dinner quite intimate so we kept it small, choosing to invite close friends and family only, 40 guests total (and our dogs of course).

“I moved all over the world growing up, so the highlight was definitely seeing all the people we love the most in one place together. Something so rare and that will probably never happen again. We were just enveloped in their love - there were quite a few speeches throughout the night as well (much more than what’s considered standard) so naturally a lot of tears and so many laughs. So many memories were brought up - it was incredibly special. And of course, the moment my husband and I locked eyes for the first time at the ceremony, nothing can describe that moment.”

When it comes to sharing wisdom with brides who are in the throws of wedding planning, Silvia’s advises, “If there is ever a moment in life to be selfish, this is probably it. I don’t mean it in a negative way at all but as soon as weddings come up there is always an overwhelming amount of information. So I would say, this is your day and it should be celebrated however you want to, there are no rights or wrongs. Go with your gut and do what makes you happy. No one knows your couple better than you two.”

“There will be last minute problems too, there always are, but there will also be solutions. We thought we’d made a safe bet getting married in the South of France, in September, surely there would be no rain right? Wrong.. the week leading up to our wedding was grey, predicting thunderstorms every single day and we had to re-arrange a lot of our plans for the decoration. However, on the morning of the big day, we woke up to clear blue skies and beautiful sunshine. I know it doesn’t always work out this way but when it really comes down to it - you are in such a state of love and euphoria that the weather will be the last thing on your mind as you walk down the aisle.”
